Leadership Development
Coaching
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
The coach’s responsibility is to:
-
Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
-
Encourage client self-discovery
-
Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
-
Hold the client accountable
Coaching is a client-driven process and helps clients improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.
How Does It Work?
1
Introduction and Needs Assessment
The first thing we'll do together is introduce you to the coaching process and discuss what you're hoping to achieve with career coaching.
2
Coaching Sessions
Coaching sessions will look different for every client, based on your needs. Most clients will choose to have a session every other week, in which we'll:
-
Identify your goals
-
Use tools to help you understand yourself and your strengths
-
Uncover your values, missions, or personal brand
-
Frame your brand in a way that best markets your unique combination of abilities and strengths
-
Talk through problems and work together to identify actionable solutions
3
Homework and Taking Action
We'll work through a lot during our coaching sessions, but you'll see the most progress when you put your learning into action in real life. You're in charge - I can help hold you accountable, but you're the only person who can make the changes you need!
To help you along, I may suggest some "homework" assignments to supplement our conversations. This could be reviewing a resource or taking action on something we've talked about.
